Our analysis of 27 judgments involving child sexual abuse shows:

• 8 out of 10 allegations dismissed

• 7 out of 10 children ordered into the care of alleged abusers

• State protection orders repeatedly overridden

These findings reveal systemic breaches of Australia’s obligations under the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and other treaties. Survivors, children, and protective parents deserve better.
